The Pender Harbour Wooden Boat Show is back in August 2024
with a new name and logo!
The Pender Harbour Wooden Boat Show is back – formerly known as ‘Pender Harbour Days’, this August long weekend event is an essential Pender Harbour tradition.
The festivities begin on Friday night with the Boat Parade around the harbour, followed by a special Pender Harbour Choir Coffee House on the hill at the School of Music.
On Saturday, head to Millennium Park and the Madeira Park Marina to admire an array of wooden boats, both in the marina and on land. Enjoy live music, vendors, delicious food, fish draws, and a kids’ area featuring wooden boat building!
Don’t miss our speaker series, featuring Captain Bill Noon talking about finding Franklin’s lost ships in the Arctic, and Howard White asking the oft asked question “Where is Pender Harbour?”
If you missed the boats on Saturday, you still have a chance to see them on Sunday morning, along with the marine tailgate sale in the Harbour Authority parking lot. In the afternoon, Issac Vanderhorst will share stories of the well known boats and their owners who visited the harbour in the last century.
At 2 pm, the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society will hold the draw for the much coveted wooden canoe, Blue Heron.
Mark your calendars for a weekend filled with fun, history, and nautical charm
at the Pender Harbour Wooden Boat Show!
